Hey LCC, We are heading out to beautiful San Luis Obispo, California to help with a new church plant starting in the area. Pastor Nicholas and Krista Feyma along with their three kids Judah, Gideon, and Ezra visited our church a few months ago to share all that God is doing in their family’s new adventure to start a church, and we are going to help them get some work done.
Located just a few blocks from downtown SLO, High Street Church is right across the street from SLO’s famous High Street Deli, and a few short blocks from the Nautical Bean Coffee shop. The Feyma’s have already started reaching out to the community with the love of Christ, and we want to help share the love.
Join us as we help serve the community of San Luis Obispo by partnering with the Feyma’s in getting some work done at their church.
Important Details:
Dates: We will be heading down to San Luis Obispo Friday, March 6th, and returning Sunday, March 8th (see a basic schedule here).

Accommodations: The Feyma’s have invited us to sleep on the floor inside the church, so we will be “roughing it” in SLO. If you would feel more comfortable getting a hotel room for the weekend, you are free to do so, but you will have to set that up on your own.
Food: Bring money for food (we will be eating at local coffee shops, cafes, delis, and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some water and snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own food and snacks if you would like to save some money (plan on 5 meals, and $10-15 per meal)
Transportation: You are on your own for transportation. If you would like to carpool, arrange with people you know who are going and head to the coast together. It’ll be a fun road trip. See directions to the High Street Church HERE.
What to Bring:
Sleeping bag, pillow, and pad/mattress.
Bible, notebook, pen
Change of clothes and walking shoes
Work clothes and shoes
Warm PJ’s
Toiletries
Coat and sweater (it gets a little chilly during parts of the day/night near the coast)
Money for food & shopping (as stated above, breakfast will be at local coffee shops, and lunch/dinner will be at local cafes and restaurants - plan on 5 meals and $10-15 per meal)
Work Supplies. We could use cleaning supplies for work inside the church as well as tools for outside work (supplies for inside cleaning could include: cleaning gloves, Clorox wipes, vacuums, and and the like; supplies for outside work could include: rakes, shovels, work gloves, basic tools - hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, paint brushes, and the like). The church could use a deep cleaning on the inside as well as some gardening, weed pulling, and yard cleaning up on the outside. There are a few “larger projects” that Pastor Nicholas has asked for help on regarding some dry rot inside and outside as well as some light construction and building projects he needs help with too.
